No point worrying about it at this point but yeah, much as I enjoy GWEN I'd have liked a whole chapter even more. Even more so in light of GW2 being more of a "true" MMO and thus of no real interest.

I've often wondered why, when GW uses so many skills from traditional rpgs, we have never had a skill along the same lines as "Reflect" from FF.
I guess RoF or RoD could be, but not really.

They didn't scrap Utopia because it was a bad idea creatively, they scrapped it because it was a bad idea financially.

Target bad player is sacrificed, their heart ripped out, and consumed by the other members of the team. This player loses all health and energy, and dies. All allies are healed for 4x that player's health, and energy is replenished by 2x of that player's energy. For 10 minutes, all allies gain 25% IAS, 20% HSR, HCT, 10% morale boost, and move 25% faster
I would have loved utopia.

omg they better make it available in pvp XD!

Oh, but we do!
Let me introduce you to the best Water elite in the game!
Mirror of Ice. Read it carefully, it works on ONE spell. GG, /epicfailelite.

The dual wielding was actually dual-wielded or dual-handed weapons, like a 2-handed sword. I'd much rather see my character walking around with a huge friggin' sword that makes me scream "I'm a crazy SoB with a huge compensation sword!'
Oh yeah. But, nah, I like EotN, though I wish it offered more for PvP.
Hint, hint.

A lot of Utopia's art resources got dumped into EotN. More specifically, nearly all of the Asuran stuff is Utopia Aztec-Mesoamerican stuff (if you've finished O Brave New World, you've been on top of one of those pyramids).
A lot of the ideas they came up with for Utopia I'm pretty sure are going to end up in GW2. They're porting the title as more customizable, with less complexity creep (c'mon, 1234 skills in PvP, 10 classes, tons of mods, inscriptions, weapon types). So seeing a two-handed sword with say double-damage, or dual-wielded weapons (Kanaxai's Axes anyone?) is a good chance. They talk about emergent skills where your positioning relative to target changes the skill's effect. I'm seeing Cyclone Axe with more damage because both of your Axes just hit all adjacent foes.
And we await a more indepth feature list of GW2. Heck, a screenshot of the new engine in action. (I know they're raising the bar even further above WoW's sorry graphics)

I'd like to see new content - Utopia - long before GW2. Too much to hope for, i guess.

I think when they were looking at the mechanics and programming for Utopia, they dropped the idea altogether. It was probably too “grand,” of an idea. Even though I probably would prefer that, to some of the features of EotN.
One of the huge problems I found in EotN was the cliché factor. It felt like they were following some other fantasy gimmicks that have been used before.

Hmmmm, WTB Dimension Travelling Device to see what could have been...
GW:EN's story line is way too short for my liking.
It's a pity we got a cut-price release rather than the whole enchilada...

Rahja the Thief, good pointers though.. not suggesting to slit something, hey!
Which side your'e one, or something like. That came out of the blue, or something? or, in a way, never know, why? Off topic, sometings makes us angry, there's allways room for, being always the.. sry, no I can't handle the language... Time to learn, I guess. And a hell with this rant, just received, a call.
Not too nice. Point. The heck with it. Going though.. again this time.

i would have loved another chapter, though the continual expansion of the geopgraphy and mission areas was spreading the playerbase too thin.
I would have liked two new classes, but maybe they would not have been played much, or couldnt be easily implemented.
i like GW:EN, but i always want more

I don't care what could've been. They just better come big with GW2, what with all the time they saved and all.
